Scavenger Art by Mark Orr
 Michigan artist, Mark Orr, has become well known for his hand-carved sculptural works featuring ravens or crows. These birds represented the “scavenger” or “gatherer” in Native American culture, but Orr gives them his own personal interpretation by mixing in found architectural objects that speak to him. Combing antique and flea markets for just the right vintage artifact is part of the process and the fun, he claims. Orr’s work is at once spiritual, thought provoking and whimsical. No wonder collectors love him! |
